I woke up to a dream where I saw school grounds covered in dirt and sand. Everywhere I walked was dirt and in the dream I started to sprinkle salt all over the dirt/sand and as I did I saw green grass start to pop up out of the dirt.
Salt is a transformative and preserving influence of God’s people. Salt spiritually is purification and healing. We are called to act as the preserving agents of this earth. If salt was placed on the ground in the natural it would prevent plant growth, but for life to be resurrected there must be a death first. Resurrection and new life comes out of death and is the outpouring of God’s spirit, life and healing to reverse the damage that was done to cause the death.
Grass is growing because resurrection power is being sprinkled over the earth. Grass growing is provision, nurturing, harvest and covenant blessings coming forth. I know the Lord wants us to prophesy over the school system that what is dry, desolate, unfruitful and lacking will grow again. Just as Elisha healed the spring and caused a bad water supply to be healed (2 Kings 2), so will the school systems be cleansed. Apostle Paul advises the church that their conversations should be “seasoned with salt”, so should our speech be impactful as we pray and bless our education systems. There is a destruction where the salt rendered the ground completely barren (dead) when Abimelech destroys Shechem, but there is a death right before a resurrection.
Do not be troubled when you see such destruction for the Lord must tear down and destroy before He can build and bring forth new seed and new life. Resurrection will come to the schools but we must be the salt by our words, prayers, actions and deeds.
Lord we ask for your Resurrection power to bring life to the dead grounds of the education system. That you will tear down what needs to be destroyed so that new life can spring forth. We partner with what Heaven wants to do on this earth for God’s children. Lord let it be transformed, renewed and brought back to life with resurrection power and an out pouring of Your Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen.
